Ringworm Infection In Cats

The itchy ring-shaped wounds on your pet’s skin could be ringworm they got because of fungus. If this condition is not addressed early on, your cat could severely scratch herself and cause hair loss.

As you get ringworm treated, isolate your cat and decontaminate her area to prevent the spreading of bacteria. Disinfect or destroy the things your pet has touched to ensure everything is safe. Wash the bedding, clothing, and other fabrics two times with laundry detergent and cold water. Sweep out and vacuum up all the loose hairs daily to lessen the buildup of hair, which may be infected. Have disinfectants at the ready and spray them on places that your cat likes to stay at often.

Schedule an appointment with the vet Ada, MI for a proper checkup for your other pets to see if they too are infected.
